Our students recently had the opportunity to head to the park and take part in a Disc Golf unit! Disc Golf is a fantastic way to learn new skills while enjoying the great outdoors, and our students had a blast trying it out.
Much like traditional golf, the goal of disc golf is to complete each “hole” in as few throws as possible. Instead of clubs and balls, players use flying discs and aim for a metal basket target. It’s easy to learn, fun for all ages, and a great lifetime activity.
Why Disc Golf is Great for Students:
🥏 Improves Coordination – Throwing discs helps with hand-eye coordination, aim, and control.
🌳 Gets Kids Outdoors – Disc golf encourages exercise in fresh air and allows students to explore nature.
🤝 Builds Social Skills – Playing together helps students practice sportsmanship, patience, and teamwork.
💪 Promotes Lifelong Fitness – Disc golf is low-cost, accessible, and can be played recreationally for years to come.
The nice weather made it the perfect time for our students to be active outside while learning a new hobby that they can enjoy beyond the classroom. Who knows—maybe we have some future disc golf champions in our Pinto family!

💰 Donation cans will be passed around—100% of contributions go directly to local breast cancer warriors connected to our district.
