Middle School
California Middle School strives to create a student-centered environment that provides our students with the tools necessary to become productive citizens who will make a positive impact in society. We embrace our district’s motto of “equipping today’s children for tomorrow’s challenges” by striving to maximize each student’s learning potential. The Middle School also offers a wide variety of enrichment opportunities, including various clubs, athletics, and activities, to develop the total student.
Building and maintaining a strong partnership with parents is paramount to our success as an educational institution. Our staff has a goal of fostering positive relationships while providing a challenging curriculum to all of our students.
Spotlight
Mrs. Hill was recognized for being an amazing math teacher who makes learning fun through game-like lessons and engaging activities that help students practice important math concepts.
Mr. Felber was recognized for being a hardworking and caring teacher who brings humor and laughter into his classroom. He goes above and beyond the classroom by serving as a coach and helping with the law team.
Students shared that Mr. Felber makes them feel supported, comfortable, and excited to be in his classroom. From making learning fun to being someone students know they can count on, he truly makes a difference every day.
Students and staff describe Tawnia as kind, patient, helpful, and always willing to go above and beyond. She builds meaningful relationships, supports students when they need it most, and makes a difference every day.
Our February Pinto Pride Winner is middle school staff member Mrs. Kelli Williams, whose dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to supporting students and staff make a tremendous impact at CMS every single day.
Mrs. Mertens, your kindness, energy, and dedication do not go unnoticed! From preparing students for concerts to supporting them every step of the way (and even giving brain breaks when needed), your students appreciate you so much.
