CHS Dance Team Try Outs

Hey 8th Graders!! CHS Dance Team tryouts are coming up! Dance Team clinics will be held Monday, May 2 through Wednesday, May 4, 3:15-4:30. Auditions for the team will be held Thursday, May 5, 3:30-5:00. You must pick up a tryout packet by April 27. See the office for tryout information. Pinto Boys Basketball Camp - Grades 3-5

Pinto Boys Basketball Camp for boys going into grades 3 through 5 next school year will take place Monday, May 2 through Thursday, May 5, 3:00-4:30pm in the middle school gym. There is a $30 fee per boy. Registration forms are due by Tuesday, April 19. Click on the above link for a registration form.

Kickball Tournament

California Middle School PTSA is sponsoring a KICKBALL TOURNAMENT on Saturday, April 23, starting at 2pm at the Cargill Ball Fields. Grab a group of family, friends, co-workers, church group, choir, band, basketball, baseball, track groups, etc… and get a kickball team together! Spring Fling Dance for 4th and 5th Graders - April 22

The California Middle School Student Council would like to invite our 4th & 5th graders to a fun social/dance. There will be music, dancing, punch, candy, and games! You won’t want to miss it! Feel free to dress to impress: suits, slacks, ties, dresses (completely optional). Doors open at 4:00pm. Everyone will be dropped off and picked up behind the middle school building (also known as the bus drop-off and pick-up area). Simply pay at the door. We hope to see all of you there!

5th grade students, you will not be able to attend if you have more than one F in one of your classes OR you have 5 or more ICUs. You also need to be in attendance at school the day of the event.

High Point Spring Dance

The High Point School Spring Dance will take place Friday, April 22, 6:00pm-10:00pm at the High Point gym. This year's dance is only for students in 6th grade through 8th grade. Permission slips should be submitted digitally. If you do not have access to a computer, you may pick up a permission slip in the middle school office. ALL permission slips must be turned in by Thursday, April 21 at noon. NO LATE PERMISSION SLIPS WILL BE ACCEPTED! Middle School Seussical Jr. DVD Order Form

Click on the above link to get a printable copy of the Middle School's musical, Seussical, Jr., DVD order form. Each DVD is $10.00. Make checks payable to California R-1. All proceeds from DVD sales will be used to purchase equipment, etc. for the California Performing Arts Center. Thank you for your support!

Pre-K Screenings

Pre-K Screenings are being conducted Monday, April 11, Tuesday, April 12, and Wednesday, April 13. We have limited time slots available. If you would like to have your child scheduled for PreK Screening, please call 573/796-4341 to schedule an appointment.

Help Support Mrs. Eichelberger and Family

Please help support Mrs. Eichelberger and her family as they are dealing with unexpected medical expenses. $7 from each t-shirt order will go straight to the family. Middle School Musical

The Middle School Musical will take place on Saturday, March 19 at 7:00pm, and Sunday, March 20 at 2:00pm in the Performing Arts Center at the High School.

National Youth Leadership Forum Summer Camp Raffle Extended!!

Please help to send a group of our 4th grade Pintos to the National Youth Leadership Forum's "Pathways to STEM" summer camp in St. Louis this summer. Great baskets have been put together by the elementary staff and are being raffled off on Monday, March 7. Raffle tickets will be sold through Monday, March 7. You may enter as many times and for as many baskets as you like. Tickets are 1 for $3.00 or 5 for $10.00, cash only please.
