⭐ CMS STARR PARTY: DO YOU KNOW THE REQUIREMENTS? ⭐
At California Middle School, we love celebrating our students and recognizing those who show STARR behaviors! 🎉 The STARR Party is a special reward for students who demonstrate responsibility, respect, good attendance, positive behavior, and academic success throughout the semester.
Want to know how to qualify? Here’s what students need to know! 👇
⭐ Attendance: Fewer than 5 absences per semester. Medical-related absences may be exempt with a doctor's note submitted to the office at least ONE WEEK before the STARR Party. Students sent home sick by the school nurse are also exempt. Verified immediate family funeral absences may be exempt as well.
⭐ Grades: No D's or F's on mid-quarter progress reports or quarter grades. Need help? Talk to your teacher or take advantage of after-school help!
⭐ Behavior: No discipline referrals during the semester.
⭐ Obligations: All outstanding uniforms, missing books, and library/Chromebook fines must be taken care of.
💙 A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER!
The STARR Party is about celebrating success, not punishing students! We know life happens, and not qualifying one semester doesn't mean a student can't qualify the next. Eligibility starts fresh each semester, so every student has another opportunity to work toward the next celebration!
Let's keep showing our STARR behaviors and making California Middle School proud! ⭐
